College Year in Athens welcomes applications from academically strong students who wish to immerse themselves in the study of Greece and/or the world of the eastern Mediterranean. Successful candidates are those who show themselves to be academically motivated, inquisitive, self-reliant, self-disciplined, flexible, and open to experiencing daily life in a European capital city.
The Program does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, sex, or national and ethnic origin. Photographs need not be sent before admission has been granted.
Apply Early
CYA employs a rolling admission policy. Since applications are considered only as long as space is available, CYA strongly encourages early application. When space is limited and there are two or more similarly qualified applicants, preference will be given to the earlier applicant(s).
After Admittance
Once you have been admitted you will receive a username and password that gives you access to the accepted students page where you will find all the information needed to help you prepare for study at CYA and travel to and living in Greece. The page has forms and information regarding registration for courses, housing, special offerings, optional field study, maps, etc.
Scholarships
Instructions to apply for a CYA semester or year scholarship are outlined on the Scholarships page. However, first you should check your eligibility with your study abroad and financial aid officers. Please keep in mind that the deadline to be considered in the first allotment is April 1.
