Favorite class you took at CYA?

Too many to pick just one! Modern Greek with Marinetta, Attic Tragedy with Nano, Politics of the Middle East with Zalouris, and just about all others.

How did your study abroad experience with CYA contribute to your personal, academics and professional development?

In fact, how did it not? Fully immersive experience not only connected me with all things Hellenic, but also provided new found perspective when I returned to the states. I've been benefitting from it ever since, and has informed my social work career, teaching at USC and ongoing cultural and political interests.

What is your favorite memory of Athens?

Far more than one- walking through the city for classes, dinners with friends in Kolonaki, outdoor movies, seeing a performance at Herod Atticus with Marinetta's class, sunsets from Likavitos, clubbing in Glyfada and every meal at Platanos with local friends.
